A numerical framework for underground structures in layered ground under inclined P-SV waves using stiffness

摘要: A numerical framework was proposed for the seismic analysis of underground structures in layered ground under inclined P-SV waves. The free-field responses are first obtained using the stiffness matrix method based on plane-wave assumptions. Then, the domain reduction method was employed to reproduce the wavefield in the numerical model of the soil–structure system. The proposed numerical framework was verified by providing comparisons with analytical solutions for cases involving free-field responses of homogeneous ground, layered ground, and pressure-dependent heterogeneous ground, as well as for an example of a soil–structure interaction simulation. Compared with the viscous and viscous-spring boundary methods adopted in previous studies, the proposed framework exhibits the advantage of incorporating oblique incident waves in a nonlinear heterogeneous ground. Numerical results show that SV-waves are more destructive to underground structures than P-waves, and the responses of underground structures are significantly affected by the incident angles.

A collaborative approach for urban underground space development toward sustainable development goals

摘要: The utilization of urban underground space (UUS) offers an effective solution to urban problems but may also negatively affect urban development. Therefore, UUS development needs better concerted guidelines to coordinate various urban systems and the multiple components of the underground world. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which should be viewed as important yardsticks for UUS development, do not explicitly mention urban underground space, although many of them are affected by both the positive and negative consequences of its development. To fill this gap, this review lays the foundations of relevant UUS concepts and uses exemplary cases to reveal that 11 out of 17 SDGs can be linked with UUS uses. These linkages also manifest that land administration, integrated planning, architectural design, and construction technology are critical dimensions for increasing the contributions of UUS to the realization of SDGs. To achieve multi-disciplinary synergies among these four critical dimensions, a collaborative approach framework based on spatial data infrastructure is required. Thus, this work provides academics and practitioners with a holistic view of sustainable UUS development.

Prediction of characteristic blast-induced vibration frequency during underground excavation by using

摘要: Blast-induced vibration produces a very complex signal, and it is very important to work out environmental problems induced by blasting. In this study, blasting vibration signals were measured during underground excavation in carbonaceous shale by using vibration pickup CB-30 and FFT analyzer AD-3523. Then, wavelet analysis on the measured results was carried out to identify frequency bands reflecting changes of blasting vibration parameters such as vibration velocity and energy in different frequency bands. Frequency characteristics are then discussed in view of blast source distance and charge weight per delay. From analysis of results, it can be found that peak velocity and energy of blasting vibration in frequency band of 62.5–125 Hz were larger than ones in other bands, indicating the similarity to characteristics in the distribution band (31–130 Hz) of main vibration frequency. Most frequency bands were affected by blasting source distance, and the frequency band of 0–62.5 Hz reflected the change of charge weight per delay. By presenting a simplified method to predict main vibration frequency, this research may provide significant reference for future blasting engineering.

Rhizosphere immunity: targeting the underground for sustainable plant health management

摘要:

Managing plant health is a great challenge for modern food production and is further complicated by the lack of common ground between the many disciplines involved in disease control. Here we present the concept of rhizosphere immunity, in which plant health is considered as an ecosystem level property emerging from networks of interactions between plants, microbiota and the surrounding soil matrix. These interactions can potentially extend the innate plant immune system to a point where the rhizosphere immunity can fulfil all four core functions of a full immune system: pathogen prevention, recognition, response and homeostasis. We suggest that considering plant health from a meta-organism perspective will help in developing multidisciplinary pathogen management strategies that focus on steering the whole plant-microbe-soil networks instead of individual components. This might be achieved by bringing together the latest discoveries in phytopathology, microbiome research, soil science and agronomy to pave the way toward more sustainable and productive agriculture.

摘要: By analyzing the ten burials that have been unearthed at the Yang Emperor Mausoleum of the Han Dynasty, and China s first wholly underground protection and exhibition hall of relics that is under construction, the article expounds the importance of relic site protection through underground space. In particular, it discusses the preservation of historical and cultural relics, the harmonious relationship between architecture and nature, and the collection and security of cultural relics.

摘要: Ground buildings constructed above metro station have increased very quickly due to the limited land resources in urban areas. In this paper, the seismic response of the Underground subway station-Surrounding soil mass-Ground adjacent buildings (USG) system subjected to various seismic loading is studied through numerical analysis. The numerical model is established in terms of the calculation domain, boundary condition, and contact property between soil and structure based on the real project. The reciprocal influence between subway station and ground adjacent building, and their effects on the dynamic characteristics of surrounding soil mass are also investigated. Through the numerical study, it is found that the impact of underground structure on the dynamic characteristics of the surrounding soil mass depends on its own dimension, and the presence of underground structure has certain impact on the seismic response of ground adjacent building. Due to the presence of underground structure and ground adjacent building, the vertical acceleration generated by the USG system cannot be ignored. The outcomes of this study can provide the references for seismic design of structures in the USG system.

Image analysis of soil failure on defective underground pipe due to cyclic water supply and drainage

摘要: The ground subsidence on the underground pipe often is caused with the reduction of the effective stress and the loss of suction in the base course and then, soil drainage into the pipe. The final formation of the cavity growth in the ground was observed as the ground subsidence. Authors focused this problem and hence performed model tests with water-inflow and drainage cycle in the model ground. The mechanism of cavity generation in the model ground was observed using an X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. In those studies, water was supplied into the model grounds from the defected underground pipe model in case of the change of relative density and grain size distribution. As results, it was observed that the loosening area was generated from the defected part with water-inflow and some of the soil particles in the ground were drained into the underground pipe through the defected part. And afterward, the cavity was generated just above the defected part of the model pipe in the ground. Based on this observation, it might be said that the bulk density of soil around the defected pipe played one of key factor to generate the cavity in the ground. Moreover, the dimension of the defected part should be related to the magnification of the ground subsidence, in particular, crack width on a sewerage pipe and particle size would be the quantitative factor to evaluate the magnification of the ground subsidence. ?In this paper, it was concluded that the low relative density of soil would become the critical factor to cause the fatal failure of model ground if the maximum grain size was close to the dimension of crack width of defective part. The fatal collapse of the ground with high relative density more than 80% would be avoided in a few cycles of water inflow and soil drainage.

Optimization for operating modes based on simulation of seasonal underground thermal energy storage

摘要: A simulation was performed, which concerned the feasibility of seasonal underground thermal energy storage (UTES) in Tianjin, China. The investigated system consisted of 8 boreholes. In summer, residual solar thermal energy was emitted into the soil surrounding the borehole heat exchangers through which the stored energy was extracted in winter with a ground coupled heat pump (GCHP) to provide a proper heating temperature. A simulation study was performed to study the influence of system operation modes on thermal recovery based on the experimental data of a GCHP system, local meteorological conditions and soil properties in Tianjin. The results indicate a thermal recovery ratio of less than 67% and different temperature distributions under three modes. Finally, an operation mode was suggested based on both lower loss and better thermal recovery in the UTES.

Safety assessment for buried drainage box culvert under influence of underground connected aisle blasting

摘要: Blasting engineering in complex urban environments is considered to influence the safety and stability of the overlying drainage box culvert structure owing to vibration. Therefore, field blasting and vibration tests were performed on the blasting engineering of the Wuhan Metro Line 8 connected aisle, and the LS-DYNA software was used to analyze the dynamic response characteristics of an underground drainage box culvert during the blasting test. The vibration response evolution law of the buried drainage box culvert under blasting vibration was investigated, and a safe surface control standard for the blast vibration of a drainage box culvert is proposed. The results reveal that the maximum tensile stress of the box culvert structure was 0.33 MPa. The peak particle velocity (PPV) and peak tensile stress (PTS) of the drainage box culvert decreased as the water level in the box culvert increased. Based on the relationship between the tensile stress of the box culvert, PPV of the box culvert, and PPV of the surface, it is proposed that the surface control velocity of the buried drainage box culvert is 1.36 cm/s.

地下工程新技术的实践

摘要:

广蓄电站高压岔管的P. D值达5.8×10kN·m,未采用常规的钢岔管,在钢筋混凝土岔管设计原则上,主要依靠围岩承担水压力。施工中从控制爆破、混凝土质量、高压灌浆等方面实现设计意图。这种结构安全可靠,投资省,效益好。广蓄斜井引进了一套间断式的斜井滑模,经改进和完善,获得了成功。在天荒坪抽水蓄能电站长斜井施工中,研制了自主知识产权的XHM-7型斜井滑模设备,实现了斜井混凝土衬砌的连续滑升,显示了该设备结构新颖、安全可靠、速度快、造价低的优势。以上两项新技术的成功实践,为我国类似工程的推广和应用提供了有益的经验。

An end-to-end 3d seismic simulation of underground structures due to point dislocation source by using

摘要: Based on the domain reduction idea and artificial boundary substructure method, this paper proposes an FK-FEM hybrid approach by integrating the advantages of FK and FEM (i.e., FK can efficiently generate high-frequency three translational motion, while FEM has rich elements types and constitutive models). An advantage of this approach is that it realizes the entire process simulation from point dislocation source to underground structure. Compared with the plane wave field input method, the FK-FEM hybrid approach can reflect the spatial variability of seismic motion and the influence of source and propagation path. This approach can provide an effective solution for seismic analysis of underground structures under scenario of earthquake in regions where strong earthquakes may occur but are not recorded, especially when active faults, crustal, and soil parameters are available. Taking Daikai subway station as an example, the seismic response of the underground structure is simulated after verifying the correctness of the approach and the effects of crustal velocity structure and source parameters on the seismic response of Daikai station are discussed. In this example, the influence of velocity structure on the maximum interlayer displacement angle of underground structure is 96.5% and the change of source parameters can lead to the change of structural failure direction.

城市地下空间是城市综合防灾空间的重要与必要组成部分。近年来,随着世界城市化进程和地下空间利用的加速,城市综合防灾面临挑战,利用地下空间的综合防灾特性进行城市综合防灾越来越受到国际学者的关注。本文分析了世界各国利用地下空间进行综合防灾的最新研究进展与典型工程案例,提出了我国利用地下空间进行城市综合防灾的建议,以期为我国城市地下空间开发利用提供借鉴与参考。

基于无人装备的地下金属矿智能开采技术 Review

摘要:

以矿产资源安全、高效和绿色开发为背景,介绍我国地下金属矿智能开采技术的现状及发展趋势。对地下金属矿智能开采技术的国内外研究现状进行了分析和总结,介绍了具有自主知识产权的地下无人采矿装备的最新技术进展,包括地下凿岩台车、地下潜孔钻机、地下铲运机、地下矿用汽车和地下装药车等五大装备的智能化及无人控制技术,对实现智能开采的三大基础平台,包括定位和导航平台、信息采集与通讯平台、生产过程调度与控制平台进行了分别介绍。最后利用上述无人装备和平台在凡口铅锌矿地下矿山进行了智能开采的工业试验,重点介绍了地下智能铲运机在通信系统、定位系统和信息采集系统的支持下,如何实现无人驾驶。试验证明智能开采技术切实可行,对促进我国采矿技术向智能化方向发展、增强我国矿业行业的核心竞争能力有巨大的推动作用。

既有地铁运营隧道对地下空间的强烈分割效应,导致城市繁华地段的地下空间难以有效充分开发,本文提出了以变形缓冲层、特殊注浆技术、小分仓跳挖及门式框反压技术为核心的一整套针对跨地铁运营隧道的地下空间施工组合技术。这些技术在实际工程中的成功应用,解决了跨地铁运营隧道的地下空间合理利用中的重大技术难题,取得了显著的经济效益和社会效益,具有重要的推广应用前景与价值。
