Junfang Jia, Valeriia Tumanian, Guoqiang Li,li.g@sjtu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 7,   Pages 969-985 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000186

Abstract: A sheer number of techniques and are available for software engineering practice and this number continues to grow. Discovering semantically similar or related and offers the opportunity to design appealing services to facilitate information retrieval and information discovery. In this study, we extract and from a community of question and answer (A) discussions and propose an approach based on a neural language model to learn the semantic representations of and in a joint low-dimensional vector space. Our approach maps and to a semantic vector space based only on the surrounding and of a technical term (or web resource) in a discussion thread, without the need for mining the text content of the discussion. We apply our approach to Stack Overflow data dump of March 2018. Through both quantitative and qualitative analyses in the clustering, search, and semantic reasoning tasks, we show that the learnt technical-term and web-resource vector representations can capture the semantic relatedness of and , and they can be exploited to support various search and semantic reasoning tasks, by means of simple -nearest neighbor search and simple algebraic operations on the learnt vector representations in the embedding space.

Anovel resource optimization scheme for multi-cellOFDMArelay network Article

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 8,   Pages 825-833 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500294

Abstract: In cellular networks, users communicate with each other through their respective base stations (BSs). Conventionally, users are assumed to be in different cells. BSs serve as decode-and-forward (DF) relay nodes to users. In addition to this type of conventional user, we recognize that there are scenarios users who want to communicate with each other are located in the same cell. This gives rise to the scenario of intra-cell communication. In this case, a BS can behave as a two-way relay to achieve information exchange instead of using conventional DF relay. We consider a multi-cell orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) network that comprises these two types of users. We are interested in resource allocation between them. Specifically, we jointly optimize subcarrier assignment, subcarrier pairing, and power allocation to maximize the weighted sum rate. We consider the resource allocation problem at BSs when the end users’ power is fixed. We solve the problem approximately through Lagrange dual decomposition. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes outperform other existing schemes.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 10,   Pages 1546-1561 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100341

Abstract:

(NOMA) based s (F-RANs) offer high spectrum efficiency, ultra-low delay, and huge network throughput, and this is made possible by edge computing and communication functions of the fog access points (F-APs). Meanwhile, caching-enabled F-APs are responsible for edge caching and delivery of a large volume of multimedia files during the caching phase, which facilitates further reduction in the transmission energy and burden. The need of the prevailing situation in industry is that in NOMA-based F-RANs, energy-efficient , which consists of (CP) and radio (RRA), is crucial for network performance enhancement. To this end, in this paper, we first characterize an NOMA-based F-RAN in which F-APs of caching capabilities underlaid with the radio remote heads serve user equipments via the NOMA protocol. Then, we formulate a problem for maximizing the defined performance indicator, namely network profit, which takes caching cost, revenue, and energy efficiency into consideration. The NP-hard problem is decomposed into two sub-problems, namely the CP sub-problem and RRA sub-problem. Finally, we propose an iterative method and a Stackelberg game based method to solve them, and numerical results show that the proposed solution can significantly improve network profit compared to some existing schemes in NOMA-based F-RANs.

Abstract:

An interactive service- oriented P2P networks architecture (ISPNA) is proposed in this paper.  Based on the further analysis on the service demand of distributed P2P applications,  and considering the characteristics of P2P networks such as loose-coupled,  self-organizing,  and scalability,  the key availability enhancing issues of P2P networks are resolved by several different layers in ISPNA,  of which mutual relations are to analyzed.  From the architecture point of view,  to synthetically take into account the omnifarious factors that affect the availability of structure P2P networks and to analyze the causes of their formation should be helpful to put the questions in right perspective.

Abstract: Fog radio access networks (F-RANs), in which the fog access points are equipped with communication, caching, and computing functionalities, have been anticipated as a promising architecture for enabling virtual reality (VR) applications in wireless networks. Although extensive research efforts have been devoted to designing efficient strategies for realizing successful mobile VR delivery in downlink, the equally important problem of mobile VR delivery in uplink has so far drawn little attention. In this work, we investigate a mobile VR F-RAN delivery framework, where both the uplink and downlink transmissions are considered. We first characterize the of the system, which reveals its dependence on the communication, caching, and computation s. Based on this information, we propose a simple yet efficient algorithm to minimize the , while satisfying the practical constraints on caching, computation capability, and transmission capacity in the uplink and downlink. Numerical results show that our proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the compared with various baselines, and the impacts of communication, caching, and computing resources on latency performance are illustrated.

Resources Recycling

Qiu Dingfan

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 10,   Pages 31-35

Abstract:

Resources are the basis for the sustainable development of a country. From the viewpoint of chemistry, the product, resulted from the usage of a natural resource is still a substance, a kind of resource. Mankind should not exploit natural resources (minerals) unlimitedly, but make full use of them repeatedly and establish resources recycling gradually. Resources recycling is a kind of science that studies how to build the recycling system for making full use of the products. Resources recycling is a law, and also an only road for human being living in harmony with nature and for social sustainable development. Natural resources exploitation is closely related to environment pollution. Socializing resources recycling as early as possible may completely solve the problems of resource shortage and environment pollution. Building a society of resources recycling is a system engineering. To achieve this goal, the Government's determination, the related laws and regulations, keeping science, technology and education going first, as well as the joint effects from the whole society are necessary.

A maximum reliable network interdiction model with limited resources

Zhao Jia and Yu Hua

Strategic Study of CAE 2015, Volume 17, Issue 1,   Pages 137-142

Abstract:

This paper proposes a maximum reliable network interdiction model, which is to maximize the reliability of an interdicting network with limited resources by setting sensors in arcs to prevent any flow between given two nodes in a given graph even though some sensors could be failed, i.e., given a directed graph with a source and a sink, several arcs need to be selected such that each path from the source to the sink contains as many arcs in the selected subset as possible. In any given graph, the number of paths between any given two nodes is exponential to the size of this graph, so this model is transferred to a bilevel program. We solve this bilevel integer program by finding out the relationship between the lower level integer program and its linear program relaxation, also using the duality theory because a bilevel program is intractable in common sense. Lastly, we reduce the number of the constraint to one order of the size of the graph from its exponential order. Besides, we also demonstrate an approach to resolve the bilevel program.

Multi-level cross-layer protocol for end-to-end delay provisioning in wireless multimedia sensor networks Regular Papers-Research Articles

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 9,   Pages 1266-1276 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700855

Abstract: Rapid developments in information and communication technology in recent years have posed a significant challenge in wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs). End-to-end delay and reliability are the critical issues in multimedia applications of sensor networks. In this paper we provide a new cross-layer approach for provisioning the end-to-end delay of the network at a desirable level of the packet delivery ratio (PDR), used here as a measure of network reliability. In the proposed multi-level cross-layer (MLCL) protocol, the number of hops away from the sink is used to set a level for each node. A packet is routed through the path with the minimum hop count to the sink using this level setting. The proposed protocol uses cross-layer properties between the network and medium access control (MAC) layers to estimate the minimum delay, with which a node can deliver a packet to the sink. When a node wants to send a packet, the MLCL protocol compares this minimum delay with the time to live (TTL) of a packet. If the TTL of the packet is higher than the minimum delay, the node sends the packet through the path with the minimum delay; otherwise, the node drops the packet as the node cannot deliver it to the sink within the TTL duration. This packet dropping improves network performance because the node can send a useful packet instead of an unusable packet. The results show a superior performance in terms of end-to-end delay and reliability for the proposed protocol compared to state-of-the-art protocols.

HuYaqi, Wenyong Wu

Strategic Study of CAE 2018, Volume 20, Issue 5,   Pages 69-76 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2018.05.011

Abstract:

With the increasing shortage of water resources, the development and utilization of unconventional water resources have received more and more attention from various countries. Using unconventional water resources to irrigate is one of the important measures to deal with the shortage of water resources. Unconventional water resources mainly include the reclaimed water and brackish water. In China, the agricultural unconventional water resources have relatively high potentials. It has been predicted that the amount of unconventional water available for agriculture will reach 3.438×1010 m3 in 2030 and the irrigation amount of reclaimed water and brackish water will be 1.645×1010 m3 and 2.48×109 m3, respectively. In areas where the fresh water resources are lacking and the unconventional water resources are relatively abundant, especially in the arid area in the north, developing and using unconventional water resources can be regarded as a good solution for the shortage of fresh water. In this paper, based on the situation of China, the irrigation mode of unconventional water resources was summarized. From the aspects of zoning technology, suitable crop classification, pollution identification technology, high-efficient irrigation technique, monitoring and evaluation technology, and integrated application mode, this paper proposes the safe irrigation measures of unconventional water resources in China. Finally, in order to establish a technical system of agricultural unconventional water resources utilization suitable for China, this paper puts forward the development and utilization strategy, which is to further strengthen the technical research and popularization of the agricultural unconventional water resource utilization technology, to improve the recycling standards and regulation system, to bring the unconventional water resources into the planning of water resources development and utilization, and to formulate incentive policies.

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 8,   Pages 5-11

Abstract:

In recent two decades, systematic science and system engineering received much attention and developed quickly in China. Systematic engineering management of resources(SEMR) is a new branch of interdisciplinary in the field of resources. Facing with the reality of population expansion, environmental pollution, ecological deterioration as well as fast development of technologies both in the world and China, it is necessary to establish the systematic engineering management of resources with a series of new conceptions, with is based on carrying capacity of natural resources, and is different from traditional engineering management which is based on mechanical carrying capacity, in order to deal with the above mentioned problems in an all-round, harmonious and sustainable way. Although immense building like water dam may not appear, systematic engineering management of resources includes comprehensive non-traditional engineering approaches like institution, economy, technology and ecology, and can solve the problems more scientifically. “Beijing water resources management Plan” (BWRMP) in the 21st century is a real example of application of the systematic engineering management of resources.

Joint user association and resource partition for downlink-uplink decoupling inmulti-tierHetNets Article

Zhi-yong FENG, Ze-bing FENG, T. Aaron GULLIVER

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 6,   Pages 817-829 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700031

Abstract: Traditional cellular networks require the downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) of mobile users (MUs) to be associated with a single base station (BS). However, the power gap between BSs and MUs in different transmission environments results in the BS with the strongest downlink differing from the BS with the strongest uplink. In addition, the significant increase in the number of wireless machine type communication (MTC) devices accessing cellular networks has created a DL/UL traffic imbalance with higher traffic volume on the uplink. In this paper, a joint user association and resource partition framework for downlink-uplink decoupling (DUDe) is developed for a tiered heterogeneous cellular network (HCN). Different from the traditional association rules such as maximal received power and range extension, a coalition game based scheme is proposed for the optimal user association with DUDe. The stability and convergence of this scheme are proven and shown to converge to a Nash equilibrium at a geometric rate. Moreover, the DL and UL optimal bandwidth partition for BSs is derived based on user association considering fairness. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, which enhances the sum rate compared with other user association strategies.
