Jingli GUO, Lun CUI, Ying LIU, Baohua SUN, Xiaofeng LI,guojl@xidian.edu.cn,ID_CLXX@163.com

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 2,   Pages 339-345 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000456

Abstract: A compact ultra-wideband crossed-dipole antenna is proposed for 2G/3G/4G/IMT/5G customer premise equipment (CPE) applications. The arms of the crossed-dipole antenna are formed by step-shaped patches, and a wideband operation can be realized by properly selecting the order of the step-shaped patches; its bandwidth can be further enhanced by extending the end of crossed dipole downward. Each dipole is excited by a microstrip stub that is directly connected to a coaxial cable. Furthermore, a slotted rectangular parasitic patch is added beneath the crossed dipoles to further support a 5G sub-6-GHz band without additional space cost. The test results for the prototype of the proposed antenna show that the crossed-dipole antenna has a bandwidth of 147.3% (0.77–5.07 GHz) for return loss lower than 10 dB and an isolation higher than 20 dB between two ports.

A novel algorithm to counter cross-eye jamming based on a multi-target model Research Articles

Zhi-yong SONG, Xing-lin SHEN, Qiang FU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 7,   Pages 988-1001 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800394

Abstract:

Cross-eye jamming is an electronic attack technique that induces an angular error in the monopulse radar by artificially creating a false target and deceiving the radar into detecting and tracking it. Presently, there is no effective anti-jamming method to counteract cross-eye jamming. In our study, through detailed analysis of the jamming mechanism, a multi-target model for a cross-eye jamming scenario is established within a random finite set framework. A novel anti-jamming method based on multitarget tracking using probability hypothesis density filters is subsequently developed by combining the characteristic differences between target and jamming with the releasing process of jamming. The characteristic differences between target and jamming and the releasing process of jamming are used to optimize particle partitioning. Particle identity labels that represent the properties of target and jamming are introduced into the detection and tracking processes. The release of cross-eye jamming is detected by estimating the number of targets in the beam, and the distinction between true targets and false jamming is realized through correlation and transmission between labels and estimated states. Thus, accurate tracking of the true targets is achieved under severe jamming conditions. Simulation results showed that the proposed method achieves a minimum delay in detection of cross-eye jamming and an accurate estimation of the target state.

The contribution of cross modality to fatigue damage accumulation of structure subjected to random vibration

Zhu Xuewang,Liu Qinglin

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 10,   Pages 36-41

Abstract:

The contribution level of cross modality to vibration response of structure is governed by damp and modality. The larger the damping and the denser the modality, the higher the contribution. In engineering vibration analysis' a system hypothesis with lightly damping and sparse modality is generally applied to solve approximately vibration response of structure where the contribution of cross modality is neglected due to the contribution small enough. Approximate solution of displacement response can satisfy engineering requirement with certain precision but the error between approximate response and exact one, maybe tiny, can heavily effect the peak frequency and irregular factors of spectral diagram in time domain vibration analysis and change the results of fatigue damage accumulation identification. With a simple supported beam in this paper the contribution of cross modality to fatigue damage accumulation is investigated. Random response is obtained by means of superposition methods and fatigue damage accumulation of structure under random vibration is analysised with Miner's linear damage ruler. Numerical simulation shows that the contribution of cross modality to fatigue damage accumulation of structure can not be neglected even if the structure is characterized with lightly damping and sparse modality.

Huang Zhixun

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 10,   Pages 90-93

Abstract:

Work on neutrino's mass has been going on in Japan and several other countries since the early work of V. Lubimov in USSR inl980 and that of a work with W. Kundig at Zurich University inl986. At the present time, there are several laboratories concerned with the research aspects of such particles. It among the advances of all sorts of neutrinos, two main cruxes should be considered for this subject. One is that the similarity between the photon and the neutrino, the other is that the very interesting superluminal theory for neutrinos.

Development Strategy of “New Medicine” Under the Background of Healthy China

He Ke, Wang Ling

Strategic Study of CAE 2019, Volume 21, Issue 2,   Pages 98-102 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2019.02.007

Abstract:

This paper starts with the connotation of “new medicine” under the background of Healthy China, focuses on the “new medicine” talent training system, and illustrates the necessity and urgency of developing “new medicine” from three aspects, which are new strategic requirements for serving China’s health construction, external demands for meeting the country’s transformation and development, and internal demands for meeting the medical reform. This paper further elaborates the basic strategy of “1234” for developing “new medicine”, namely, adhering to the “new concept” of “one center”, establishing the “new quality” of “two types of balance”, promoting the “new system” of “three coordinations”, and strengthening the “new model” of “four kinds of crossing”. And this paper suggests that we should actively seek for strong support from government departments, comprehensively promote the overall development of medical personnel, and accelerate innovation in interdisciplinary integration, thus to provide useful reference for high-level medical personnel training in China.

Enhancing the Surface Properties of a Bioengineered Anterior Cruciate Ligament Matrix for Use with Point-of-Care Stem Cell Therapy Article

Engineering 2021, Volume 7, Issue 2,   Pages 153-161 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2020.02.010

Abstract:

We have previously developed a poly(L-lactic) acid (PLLA) bioengineered anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) matrix that has demonstrated enhanced healing when seeded with primary ACL cells prior to implantation in a rabbit model, as compared with the matrix alone. This suggests that improving cell adhesion on the matrix may beneficially affect the healing response and long-term performance of the bioengineered ACL matrix. One regenerative engineering approach involves enhancing the surface properties of the matrix to support cell adhesion and growth in combination with point-of-care stem cell therapy. Herein, we studied the cell adhesion properties of PLLA braided microfiber matrices enhanced through the physical adsorption of fibronectin and air plasma treatment. We evaluated the kinetics and binding efficiency of fibronectin onto matrices at three time points and three fibronectin concentrations. Incubating the matrix for 120 min in a solution of 25 μg·mL−1 fibronectin achieved the greatest binding efficiency to the matrix and cellular adhesion. Exposing the matrices to air plasma treatment for 5 min before fibronectin adsorption significantly enhanced the cell adhesion of rabbit bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (R-BMMSCs) 24 h post cell seeding. Finally, cellular proliferation was monitored for up to 21 d, the matrices were exposed to air plasma treatment, and fibronectin adsorption was found to result in enhanced cell number. These findings suggest that exposure to air plasma treatment and fibronectin adsorption enhances the cellular adhesion of PLLA braided microfiber matrices and may improve the clinical efficacy of the matrix in combination with point-of-care stem cell therapies.

A Comparative Assessment of Aerodynamic Models for Buffeting and Flutter of Long-Span Bridges

Igor Kavrakov, Guido Morgenthal

Engineering 2017, Volume 3, Issue 6,   Pages 823-838 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2017.11.008

Abstract:

Wind-induced vibrations commonly represent the leading criterion in the design of long-span bridges. The aerodynamic forces in bridge aerodynamics are mainly based on the quasi-steady and linear unsteady theory. This paper aims to investigate different formulations of self-excited and buffeting forces in the time domain by comparing the dynamic response of a multi-span cable-stayed bridge during the critical erection condition. The bridge is selected to represent a typical reference object with a bluff concrete box girder for large river crossings. The models are viewed from a perspective of model complexity, comparing the influence of the aerodynamic properties implied in the aerodynamic models, such as aerodynamic damping and stiffness, fluid memory in the buffeting and self-excited forces, aerodynamic nonlinearity, and aerodynamic coupling on the bridge response. The selected models are studied for a windspeed range that is typical for the construction stage for two levels of turbulence intensity. Furthermore, a simplified method for the computation of buffeting forces including the aerodynamic admittance is presented, in which rational approximation is avoided. The critical flutter velocities are also compared for the selected models under laminar flow.

Multi-stage Model Updating Method via Substructure Analysis

Guo Li,Li Zhaoxia,Chen Hongtian

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 9,   Pages 42-48

Abstract:

Basing on substructure analysis, original research on multi-stage model updating method (MSMUM) is presented to reduce the uncertainties in traditional model updating process. The kernel philosophy of the multi-stage model updating method is used to update a complicated FE model with multi steps, i. e. firstly localize the model errors and then update the error parameters. Comparing with the computed results, it is shown that the error localization methods and the parameter updating methods developed here are fine. As a case study, the model of the Runyang Nancha suspension bridge tower is updated with the MSMUM. Comparing the updated FE model here with the updated model using traditional updating method, it could be concluded that the multi-stage updating method is more effective.
