Che LIN, Rong-hao ZHENG, Gang-feng YAN, Shi-yuan LU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2018, Volume 19, Issue 9,   Pages 1063-1075 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700066

Abstract:

We study the distributed Kalman filtering problem in relative sensing networks with rigorous analysis. The relative sensing network is modeled by an undirected graph while nodes in this network are running homogeneous dynamical models. The sufficient and necessary condition for the observability of the whole system is given with detailed proof. By local information and measurement communication, we design a novel distributed suboptimal estimator based on the Kalman filtering technique for comparison with a centralized optimal estimator. We present sufficient conditions for its convergence with respect to the topology of the network and the numerical solutions of n linear matrix inequality (LMI) equations combining system parameters. Finally, we perform several numerical simulations to verify the effectiveness of the given algorithms.

Abstract: The era of big data in healthcare is here, and this era will significantly improve medicine and especially oncology. However, traditional machine learning algorithms need to be promoted to solve such large-scale real-world problems due to a large amount of data that needs to be analyzed and the difficulty in solving problems with nonconvex nonlinear settings. We aim to minimize the composite of a smooth nonlinear function and a block-separable nonconvex function on a large number of block variables with inequality constraints. We propose a novel parallel first-order optimization method, called asynchronous block coordinate descent with (ATP), which adopts a technique that escapes from saddle points and sub-optimal local points. The details of the proposed method are presented with analyses of convergence and iteration complexity properties. Experiments conducted on real-world machine learning problems validate the efficacy of our proposed method. The experimental results demonstrate that enables ATP to escape from saddle points and sub-optimal points, providing a promising way to handle nonconvex optimization problems with inequality constraints employing asynchronous block coordinate descent. The asynchronous parallel implementation on shared memory multi-core platforms indicates that the proposed algorithm, ATP, has strong scalability.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 1,   Pages 1-140 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000160

Abstract: In this study, we present the convergence of . Then, we apply the convergence property to cooperative control of nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with (UCDs), and illustrate a new kind of based control algorithms. It is proven that if the are cut-balance, the convergence of nonlinear MASs with nonidentical UCDs is achieved using the presented algorithms. A critical feature of this application is that the designed algorithms can deal with nonidentical UCDs by employing conventional s. Finally, one simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the presented algorithms.

Abstract:

The convergence of the Constant-modulus algorithm widely used in DVB system is a complex problem.Firstly, some influencing factors such as cost function, iterative equation and filter coefficients are considered;then,in this paper,an ameliorative algorithm with time-delay estimate is proposed, which can avoid converging to the ill solution by correcting the position of main path.Simulation results demonstrate the proposed algorithm can highly improve the convergence performance of the primary one.Besides, its simplicity and efficiency make it feasible in the high-rate 3G connection application.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 5,   Pages 649-808 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900418

Abstract: Accurate acceleration acquisition is a critical issue in the system, but it is difficult to directly obtain the acceleration via the existing sensing systems. The existing algorithm-based acceleration acquisition methods put more attention on finite-time convergence and disturbance suppression but ignore the error constraint and s. To this end, a novel radical bias function neural network (RBFNN) based fixed-time reconstruction scheme with error constraints is designed to realize high-performance acceleration estimation. In this scheme, a novel exponential-type is proposed to handle the error constraints. It also provides a unified and concise Lyapunov stability-proof template for constrained and non-constrained systems. Moreover, a fractional power sliding mode control law is designed to realize , where the convergence time is irrelevant to initial states or external disturbance, and depends only on the chosen parameters. To further enhance observer robustness, an RBFNN with the adaptive weight matrix is proposed to approximate and attenuate the completely unknown disturbances. Numerical simulation and human subject experimental results validate the unique properties and practical robustness.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 1,   Pages 1-140 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000177

Abstract: In this study, the control of s with region constraints is studied. Multiple agents have first-order dynamics and a common target area. A novel control algorithm is proposed using local information and interaction. If the communication graph is undirected and connected and the desired framework is rigid, it is proved that the controller can be used to solve the formation problem with a target area. That is, all agents can enter the desired region in finite time while reaching and maintaining the desired formation shapes. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the results.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2018, Volume 19, Issue 5,   Pages 583-603 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601745

Abstract: Behavior-based malware analysis is an important technique for automatically analyzing and detecting malware, and it has received considerable attention from both academic and industrial communities. By considering how malware behaves, we can tackle the malware obfuscation problem, which cannot be processed by traditional static analysis approaches, and we can also derive the as-built behavior specifications and cover the entire behavior space of the malware samples. Although there have been several works focusing on malware behavior analysis, such research is far from mature, and no overviews have been put forward to date to investigate current developments and challenges. In this paper, we conduct a survey on malware behavior description and analysis considering three aspects: malware behavior description, behavior analysis methods, and visualization techniques. First, existing behavior data types and emerging techniques for malware behavior description are explored, especially the goals, principles, characteristics, and classifications of behavior analysis techniques proposed in the existing approaches. Second, the inadequacies and challenges in malware behavior analysis are summarized from different perspectives. Finally, several possible directions are discussed for future research.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2023, Volume 24, Issue 11,   Pages 1574-1590 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200334

Abstract: Harmony search (HS) is a form of stochastic meta-heuristic inspired by the improvisation process of musicians. In this study, a modified HS with a hybrid cuckoo search (CS) operator, HS-CS, is proposed to enhance global search ability while avoiding falling into local optima. First, the randomness of the HS pitch disturbance adjusting method is analyzed to generate an adaptive inertia weight according to the quality of solutions in the harmony memory and to reconstruct the fine-tuning bandwidth optimization. This is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of HS algorithm optimization. Second, the CS operator is introduced to expand the scope of the solution space and improve the density of the population, which can quickly jump out of the local optimum in the randomly generated harmony and update stage. Finally, a dynamic parameter adjustment mechanism is set to improve the efficiency of optimization. Three theorems are proved to reveal HS-CS as a meta-heuristic algorithm. In addition, 12 benchmark functions are selected for the optimization solution to verify the performance of HS-CS. The analysis shows that HS-CS is significantly better than other algorithms in optimizing high-dimensional problems with strong robustness, high convergence speed, and high convergence accuracy. For further verification, HS-CS is used to optimize the back propagation neural network (BPNN) to extract weighted fuzzy production rules. Simulation results show that the BPNN optimized by HS-CS can obtain higher classification accuracy of weighted fuzzy production rules. Therefore, the proposed HS-CS is proved to be effective.
