化工过程可以从快速准确的流出物成分预测中获益良多,以进行工厂设计、控制和优化。工业4.0革命宣称,通过将机器学习引入这些领域,就可实现可观的经济收益和环境收益。高频优化和工艺控制的瓶颈往往是按要求对原料和产品等进行详细分析所需的时间。为解决这些问题,已为最大的化工品生产工艺——蒸汽裂解——建立由四个深度学习人工神经网络(DL ANNs)组成的框架。所提出的方法可根据有限数量的石脑油商业指标和可快速获得的工艺特性,确定石脑油原料的详细特性和蒸汽裂解炉流出物的详细组成。根据沸点曲线上的三个点和PIONA(烷烃、异链烷烃、烯烃、环烷烃和芳香烃)特性预测石脑油的详细特性。若沸点不可用,则同时对沸点进行估计。即使在估计沸点的情况下,所建立的深度学习人工神经网络仍优于已有的香农信息熵最大化和传统人工神经网络等方法。对于原料重构,在测试集得到的平均绝对误差(MAE)为0.3 wt%,流出物预测的平均绝对误差为0.1 wt%。结合所有网络时——使用前一网络的输出作为下一网络的输入——流出物平均绝对误差增大至0.19 wt%。除这些网络具有高精度外,主要好处是获得预测值所需的计算成本可忽略不计。在标准的英特尔i7处理器上,预测值以毫秒为单位。COILSIM1D等商业软件在精度方面表现稍好一些,但每个反应所需的中央处理器时间以秒为单位。速度大大提高,精度损失极小,使所提出的框架非常适用于连续监控难以获取的工艺参数,且非常适用于预想的高频实时优化(RTO)策略或工艺控制。然而,缺乏基本依据意味着几乎完全丧失基本的理解,而这并不总是被工程界广泛接受。此外,对于那些与训练集内石脑油非常不同的石脑油,所建立网络的性能有明显下降。

A review of sustainability metrics for the construction and operation of airport and roadway infrastructure

Sustainability has become increasingly important, however, relatively little attention has focused on metrics for the construction and operation of airport and roadway infrastructure. Most attention has focused on buildings, with high profile BREEAM and LEED projects taking center stage. Sustainability is also important in airport and roadway infrastructure projects, which have significant public impact but have a much lower profile than vertical construction when it comes to sustainability. Sustainable infrastructure is important in China and India where new infrastructure is under construction to meet growing and developing economies, and in the US, where infrastructure is in substandard condition and requires reconstruction. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview and discussion of sustainability rating systems for airport and roadway infrastructure, including both construction and operation. Specific projects that highlight both proven and innovative sustainable practices are included to illustrate the application of these concepts. Finally, the relationship between sustainable transportation infrastructure and resilient transportation infrastructure is addressed since resiliency is of growing interest and there is overlap between these concepts.

摘要: Here a case study of -asparaginase II out of a recombinant is presented. The target protein was obtained by simple cell disintegration and acetone precipitation. The -asparaginase II has been crystallized in three different forms in the following microbatch crystallization. The rod-shaped crystals (~400 μm edge length) were obtained at either 8°C or 22°C after 17 h by addition of PEG . The rectangular-shaped crystals were obtained after further recrystallization of the rod-shaped crystals. The rhombic-shaped crystals formed at 8°C after 12 days when cold ethanol was used instead of PEG . All crystallizations were performed in tris-acetate buffer (50 mmol·L , pH 5.1). By crystallization, the specific activity of -asparaginase II has increased 5-fold. The protein content and the purity of the crystals were evaluated by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). The more concentrated -asparaginase II out of an extract mixture and the presence of only less minor proteins after crystallization demonstrates that crystallization is an effective and mild method to purify the target protein. The single crystal X-ray diffraction pattern reveals that the crystals are proteins and the X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) pattern shows clearly that the crystals forming in PEG and ethanol have different crystal structures.

Smart residential energy management system for demand response in buildings with energy storage devices

摘要: In the present scenario, the utilities are focusing on smart grid technologies to achieve reliable and profitable grid operation. Demand side management (DSM) is one of such smart grid technologies which motivate end users to actively participate in the electricity market by providing incentives. Consumers are expected to respond (demand response (DR)) in various ways to attain these benefits. Nowadays, residential consumers are interested in energy storage devices such as battery to reduce power consumption from the utility during peak intervals. In this paper, the use of a smart residential energy management system (SREMS) is demonstrated at the consumer premise to reduce the total electricity bill by optimally time scheduling the operation of household appliances. Further, the SREMS effectively utilizes the battery by scheduling the mode of operation of the battery (charging/floating/discharging) and the amount of power exchange from the battery while considering the variations in consumer demand and utility parameters such as electricity price and consumer consumption limit (CCL). The SREMS framework is implemented in Matlab and the case study results show significant yields for the end user.

Best operating conditions to produce hydroxyapatite nanoparticles by means of a spinning disc reactor

摘要: In this work, Mg doped hydroxyapatite (Mg-HAP) nanoparticles were produced by a reaction-precipitation process by using a spinning disc reactor (SDR) at high rotational speed. The production process of these nanoparticles consisted of the neutralization reaction between two aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and ammonia orthophosphate at room temperature. By operating at pH= 10, a high purity Mg-HAP nanoparticles were obtained. In particular, they were 51 nm in average size when the two reagents were fed over the disc symmetrically at 3 cm from the disc center and a rotational speed of the disc reactor equal to 1400 r/min was adopted.

在未来10 年内,蒸汽裂解仍将是主要的烯烃( 如乙烯和丙烯) 生产方式。由于日用品市场较大的不确定性,尽管原油储量下降和全球变暖在定程度上制约了裂解工艺,但其他替代技术和原料因为较低的经济可行,尚无法在化学工业界得到足够的投资。本文将些最有潜力的替代术与传统的蒸汽裂解工艺进行了对比,着重强调了这些替代术的主要瓶颈。部分上述工艺主要得益于页岩气和闲置天然气中大量廉价的丙烷乙烷和甲烷。从经济的角度来看,以甲烷为原料生产化工产品的路线如果行得,其经济效益将会十分显著原油的巨大储量以及未来市场对燃料需求下跌的预期则表明,些拥有成熟路线的工艺如费托合成或甲醇制汽油的前景并不光明。另方面,丰富廉价的乙烷和储量巨大的原油导致了蒸汽裂解工艺两极分化的趋势,这也给低碳烯烃的定向生产工艺,如丙烷催化脱氢,创了空间。

A simple, azulene-based colorimetric probe for the detection of nitrite in water

摘要: We describe the synthesis and evaluation of an azulene-based chemodosimeter for nitrite. The probe was found to undergo two distinct color changes upon introduction aqueous nitrite ion. A near-instant formation of a grey color provides a qualitative indication of the presence of nitrite, followed by the formation of a deep-yellow/orange color, the endpoint from which quantitative data can be derived. The azulene probe exhibits 1:1 stoichiometry of reaction with nitrite in water, and is selective for nitrite over other anions. The azulene probe was applied to determine nitrite content in cured meat, and compared with the British Standard testing procedure (Griess test). The value obtained from the azulene-based probe agreed closely with the standard test. Our procedure only requires the preparation of one standard solution, instead of the three required for the standard Griess test.

Experimental evaluation and simulation of volumetric shrinkage and warpage on polymeric composite short natural fibers reinforced injection molded

A polymeric natural fiber-reinforced composite is developed by extrusion and injection molding process. The shrinkage and warpage of high-density polyethylene reinforced with short natural fibers of Guadua angustifolia Kunth are analyzed by experimental measurements and computer simulations. Autodesk Moldflow® and Solid Works® are employed to simulate both volumetric shrinkage and warpage of injected parts at different configurations: 0 wt.%, 20 wt.%, 30 wt.% and 40 wt.% reinforcing on shrinkage and warpage behavior of polymer composite. Become evident the restrictive effect of reinforcing on the volumetric shrinkage and warpage of injected parts. The results indicate that volumetric shrinkage of natural composite is reduced up to 58% with fiber increasing, whereas the warpage shows a reduction form 79% to 86% with major fiber content. These results suggest that it is a highly beneficial use of natural fibers to improve the assembly properties of polymeric natural fiber-reinforced composites.

Role of nitric oxide in biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor

摘要: To evaluate the role of nitric oxide in the biological effects of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the possible mechanism of VEGF, the cultured vascular endothelial cells of rabbit aorta were divided into control group, VEGF-treated group and VEGF+ -nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME)-treated group. The absorbance () value of vascular endothelial cells and the levels of prostaglandin (PGI), endothelin-1 (ET-1) and von Willebrand factor (vWF) in the supernatant were observed by water-soluble tetrazolium salt assay, radioimmunoassay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The values and PGI in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group were higher than those in control group (<0.05 and <0.01). The ET-1 and vWF were significantly decreased in VEGF-treated group and VEGF+L-NAME-treated group compared with the control (<0.05 and <0.01). These results indicate that VEGF could promote the proliferation and secretion of PGI and inhibit the secretion of ET-1 and vWF in vascular endothelial cells and that L-NAME could inhibit the effect of VEGF partially. Nitric oxide is an important mediator in the process of stimulating proliferation and regulating secretion of vascular endothelial cells by VEGF.

Removing ammonia from air with a constant pH, slightly acidic water spray wet scrubber using recycled scrubbing solution

摘要: Slightly acidic solutions are a practical means of removing ammonia from air Scrubbed NH accumulates in solution as NH and should be an excellent fertilizer Increased air velocity decreased NH removal and increased NH collection Previous research on wet scrubbers has only studied highly acidic scrubbing solutions because of their high ammonia capture efficiencies; however, the high acidity created practical problems. Lower acidity solutions would reduce corrosion, maintenance, and cost; however, designers may need to use strategies for increasing scrubber effectiveness, such as using lower air velocities. The objective of this study was to determine if a spray scrubber with slightly acidic and higher pH scrubbing solution (pH from 2 to 8) could effectively remove NH from NH laden air (such as animal building exhaust air), and also collect this valuable resource for later use as a fertilizer. A bench-scale spray wet scrubber treated 20 ppmv NH /air mixture in a countercurrent contact chamber. First, the solution pH was varied from 2 to 8 while maintaining constant air velocity at 1.3 m·s . Next, air velocity was increased (2 and 3 m·s ) while solution pH remained constant at pH6. At 1.3 m·s , NH removal efficiencies ranged between 49.0% (pH8) and 84.3% (pH2). This study has shown that slightly acidic scrubbing solutions are a practical means of removing ammonia from air especially if the scrubber is designed to increase collisions between solution droplets and NH molecules. The NH removed from the air was held in solution as NH and accumulates over time so the solution should be an excellent fertilizer.

Seismic performance of composite moment-resisting frames achieved with sustainable CFST members

摘要: The main objective of the research presented in this paper is to study the bending behaviour of Concrete Filled Steel Tube (CFST) columns made with Rubberized Concrete (RuC), and to assess the seismic performance of moment-resisting frames with these structural members. The paper describes an experimental campaign where a total of 36 specimens were tested, resorting to a novel testing setup, aimed at reducing both the preparation time and cost of the test specimens. Different geometrical and material parameters were considered, namely cross-section type, cross-section slenderness, aggregate replacement ratio, axial load level and lateral loading type. The members were tested under both monotonic and cyclic lateral loading, with different levels of applied axial loading. The test results show that the bending behaviour of CFST elements is highly dependent on the steel tube properties and that the type of infill does not have a significant influence on the flexural behaviour of the member. It is also found that Eurocode 4 is conservative in predicting the flexural capacity of the tested specimens. Additionally, it was found that the seismic design of composite moment-resisting frames with CFST columns, according to Eurocode 8, not only leads to lighter design solutions but also to enhanced seismic performance in comparison to steel frames.
