Yang Gao, Fan Zhang, Yingying Qiao, Jiawei Zang, Lei Li, Xiaobang Shang,gaoyang678@outlook.com,lilei@zzu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 9,   Pages 1260-1269 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000292

Abstract: This paper presents a methodology of designing an integrated with a filter using an active . The filter is directly coupled to the active device, and the integrated filter can achieve filtering as well as matching functionalities, simultaneously, eliminating the need for separate matching networks. The filter is represented by an active , with additional columns and rows in the matrix corresponding to the active transistor. The matrix can be used to calculate the S-parameter responses (i.e., the return loss and the gain) and the initial dimensions of the integrated device. Moreover, the integration of a filter and an leads to a reduced loss and a more compact architecture of the devices. An X-band filter has been designed and demonstrated as an example. technology has been chosen because of its appealing advantages of easy fabrication, low cost, and most importantly, easy integration with active devices.

An algorithm of neighbor relationship oriented contour tree building

Guo Peipei,Li Chengming,Yin Yong

Strategic Study of CAE 2013, Volume 15, Issue 5,   Pages 42-46

Abstract:

A contour tree has been found many important applications in extraction of terrain structure lines, terrain analysis, etc. A regular contour tree expressing the spatial relationship of contours is difficult to build, even with data of high quality. A new method is proposed in this paper: classify contours into close group and open group; build contour tree for each group respectively; finally amalgamate these two contour trees into one. With the elevation values, spatial relationship of contours is of easy accessibility. The result shows that the above mentioned method is correct and effective.

Experimental study of free abrasive wire sawing for multi strands wire

Wang Jinsheng,Yao Chunyan,Peng Wei,Jin Xin,Chen Shijie

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 11,   Pages 94-98

Abstract:

Grains in the slurry enter into cutting area by steel wire with a certain speed and remove the workpiece material in the free brasive wire sawing. Multi-strands wire is made by metal wires and has many grooves in the surface compared with steel wire. Therefore it can carry more grains into cutting area and improve the slicing efficiency. In this paper, optical glass K9 were cut by multi strands wire (0.25 mm) and steel wire (0.25 mm).The results show that multi strands wire is better than steel wire in slicing efficiency and surface roughness, but the kerf loss is wider than steel wire under the same process conditions.

Correspondence: Monopulse transmitarray antenna fed by aperture-coupled microstrip structure Correspondence

Na KOU, Shixing YU, Zhao DING, Zhengping ZHANG,nkou@gzu.edu.cn,sxyu1@gzu.edu.cn,zding@gzu.edu.cn,zpzhang@gzu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 3,   Pages 502-510 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000547

Abstract: Monopulse technique, also known as the simultaneous beam comparison method, is used mainly to measure the direction of arrival (DOA) (Sherman and Barton, 2011). Before the advent of monopulse technology, the method most widely used in radar direction finding was the lobe-switching technique (sequential lobing) (Lo, 1999). Compared with the sequential lobing method, the monopulse antenna can obtain information such as the pitch angle, azimuth angle, and distance of the target in a single pulse period (Vazquez-Roy et al., 2019). Due to the need for higher accuracy of angle measurement, the monopulse technique has been widely applied in SOTM missile guidance (Roy et al., 2019). When a monopulse system is working, multiple independent channels are adopted to receive signals reflected by targets at the same time. Then signals enter the comparator and finally the distance and angle information of targets can be obtained. There are three main types of monopulse antennas: lenses, reflectors, and arrays. A dielectric lens is generally a convex lens (Raman et al., 1998), which is difficult to manufacture due to its curved shape, high volume, and large mass. For common reflectors such as dish antennas, the feed and supporting structure are in front of the aperture, so a shielding effect will result in energy loss, sidelobe increase, and angle measurement error (Kou and Cheng, 2019). A more effective reflector is the Cassegrain antenna, which is more compact with dual reflectors (Zheng et al., 2016, 2017). However, the Cassegrain antenna has the problem of shielding effect caused by a secondary reflector and support rods. With growing demand for low cost and lightweight monopulse antennas in modern radar and telecommunications systems, array antennas are increasingly applied in monopulse antennas due to their characteristics of high gain and easy control of the beam direction. A typical example is the waveguide slot array, which has the advantages of low loss, low sidelobe level, and no aperture shielding problem (Vosoogh et al., 2018). The microstrip has attracted much attention in monopulse antennas because of its advantages of low profile, simple structure, and low cost (Yu et al., 2009; Kumar and Kumar, 2018). However, monopulse microstrip array antennas usually have a complex feed network, which often makes them large and expensive. In addition, substrate integrated waveguides (SIWs) (Cao et al., 2017; Zhu et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2019; Yang et al., 2019) and leaky wave antennas (LWAs) (Poveda-García et al., 2019) have been applied in monopulse antennas, with good results. Recently, reflectarrays have been proposed for use in monopulse antennas, and have shown good performance (Zhao et al., 2017, 2018). As an alternative to reflectarrays, transmitarrays not only have the advantages of reflectarrays, but also have no shielding effect from the feeds. Di Palma et al. (2016) proposed a 400-element reconfigurable transmitarray antenna to synthesize monopulse radiation patterns. However, the sum and difference patterns generated by the reconfigurable transmitarray antenna, which is controlled electronically by switches instead of by a SUM-DIFF comparator, are in time division.

Wind profiler radar to monitor the dust weather

Wei Wenshou,Wang Minzhong,He Qing

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 10,   Pages 51-56

Abstract:

The Urumqi Institute of Desert Meteorology of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) carried out an atmospheric scientific experiment on the detection of dust weather using a wind profiler radar in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert in April 2010. Based on the wind profiler radar data obtained from this experiment, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the horizontal wind field and vertical velocity of a breaking dust weather in a desert hinterland, calculates and gives the radar echo intensity and vertical distribution of a dust storm, blowing sand and floating dust weather, and discusses the atmospheric dust counts/concentration derived from the wind profiler radar data. Studies show that a wind profiler radar is an upper air atmospheric remote sensing system that effectively detects and monitors dust. It captures the beginning and ending of a dust weather process as well as monitors the sand and dust being transported in the air in terms of height, thickness and vertical intensity. The echo intensity of a blowing sand and dust storm weather episode in Taklimakan is about -3~10dBZ while that of floating dustis -15~-3 dBZ, indicating that the dust echo intensity is significantly weaker than that of precipitation while stronger than that of clear air.

System Integration and Innovation of Operating 20 kt Combined Heavy-haul Train on Datong—Qinhuangdao Line

Geng Zhixiu

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 3,   Pages 31-43

Abstract:

Datong—Qinhuangdao line, as the first electrified double-track heavy-haul line dedicated to coal transportation in China, extends from Beitongpu line in the west, reaches Qinhuangdao in the east, and opened in Dec., 1992, totaling 653 km with designed volume of 1×108 t/a. In order to meet the requirements of national economical development, the transport capacity of the line must be expanded rapidly. Depending on independent innovation, MOR,for the first time in the world, realized the integration between GSM-R and Locotrol, the integration between 800 MHz digital radio and Locotrol, and the integration between a single set of Locotrol and SS4. Meanwhile, it developed auxiliary equipment for heavy-haul transportation through combining 2 Hexie heavy-duty locomotives with controllable train ends. Relying on integration innovation, it succeeded in operating 20 kt-level combined heavy-haul train on Datong—Qinhuangdao line, which triples the annual volume of the line from 1×108 t in 2002 to 3×108 t in 2007.

Post-Impact Evaluation of SARS in 2003 on Transportation in China———Loss Estimation of28Provinces in China Based on Background-Trend-Line

Sun Gennian,Ma Lijun

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 6,   Pages 32-37

Abstract:

The SARS in 2003 is a public health crisis in China.  The passenger transport witnesses serious landslide and suffers a heavy loss.  In this article,  the loss of passenger transport and its regional difference impacted by SARS are analyzed and estimated. The loss of passenger transport is nearly 1. 007 billion person- times in 2003 impacted by SARS crisis, in which the highway transportation loss is 888 million, the railway loss is 105 million, the aviation is 16. 12 million and water carriage is 19. 43 million. As a short breaking event, it starts from March in 2003 for the crisis formation, breaks out in whole from May to June, and enters the decay and comeback from July to August,  and has a compensating from November to December after the crisis. Due to the difference in transport location and epidemic situation,  the loss of passenger transport impacted by SARS in 28 provinces in China can be classified into 4 types. Guangdong, Sichuan and Hebei suffer the most and the loss is over 100 million person-times. The relativity analysis is carried out based on the loss of transportation,  cardinal number in 2003 and the number of infect person of SARS,  and a new spatial forecast model is put forward for space forecast in transport crisis. The model shows that the marginal coefficient of transportation cardinal number is 0. 788 46,  the marginal coefficient of SARS patients is 0. 075 868.

The study of slip line field and upper bound method based on the non-associated flow rule

Zheng Yingren,Deng Chujian,Wang Jinglin

Strategic Study of CAE 2010, Volume 12, Issue 8,   Pages 56-69

Abstract:

The slip line field theory and the upper bound method based on the associated flow rule for the traditional plastic theory don't accord with the experiment for geotechnical material ,so the non-associated flow rule must be applied to geotechnical material which indicates the stress characteristic line don't coincide with the velocity line. In this paper some problems existing in the slip line field theory and the upper bound method based on the associated flow rule were analyzed. The slip line field theory and the upper bound method based on the non-associated flow rule were deduced according to the generalized plastic theory , which eliminated some inconsistencies in the slip line field theory and the upper bound method based on the associated flow rule for the traditional plastic theory.
